The Spanish Association of Advertisers ( aea ) has coordinated in Spain the sending of a letter signed by the European Association of Communication Agencies (EACA), the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) and the European Television Advertising Group (EGTA). ). As the AEA recalls in the letter, according to the Advertising Observatory in Spain 2020, the advertising sector generated a business volume of 18.7 billion euros of investment in media in 2018 , representing 1.3% of the Spanish GDP and the 3.5% of the volume of the entire service sector in the country. There are more than 40,000 companies that produce this activity in Spain and more than 100,000 people employed in the sector. In 2019 alone, 2,000 new companies were created.
